How to Take Care of Your Digistamps
Taking care of your Digistamps is one of the things that is necessary to ensure that your stamp will last long. Now that you have your own custom, pre-inked and refillable rubber Digistamps, you would want it to be a worthy investment.
Here are a few tips on how to best take care of your Digistamps!
- Always replace the cap when not in use.
Your Digistamps ink can last a long time, but it's still not immune to drying! Keep your stamp cover on when not in use. Make sure to replace the cap properly.
- Re-ink only with Digistamps official ink.
Using other ink types may end up damaging or completely destroying your stamp. Make sure to buy and use the Digistamps ink that is compatible with your stamp.
- Remove dirt or dust with tissue or tape.
Do not use wet tissue or cloth to clean the stamp imprint! This could damage the rubber indentations or completely destroy it. Gently use a dry tissue paper or scotch tape to remove dirt or dust from the rubber.
- Stamp regularly to prevent drying.
The ink of the stamp may dry out without much use. Be sure to stamp regularly (a few times a month would do) to prevent drying.
- Do not store your stamp(s) in extreme temperatures.
Stamps should be stored in a cool, dry place that is regularly accessed in order to keep it in its best condition.
- Do not drop or wet your stamp!
